N.C. Licensed General Contractor

Artist

Hi my name is John Kelleher. I specialize in structural artwork made from natural and recycled materials. My main goal is to create pieces, large and small, which integrate and reminds us of our natural surroundings.  Ever since I was very young, I have paid attention, and have been drawn to, rocks. That, and spending a substantial time in the wilderness observing, I feel like I learned how rocks naturally lay in the land. With that organic education, combined with years of experience actually placing rocks,

I feel like my craft has become an extension of myself.

I own heavy equipment and have all the resources to do any size project. I do most of the work myself with my equipment, and I only do one project at a time. I am focused and not rushed, yet very efficient. I think this is what sets me apart from a lot of large companies, and allows me to feel like I create art, not just work at a job. For the specialized parts of the project I do not do myself, I have a network of subcontractors I can recommend to you, and they can work directly through you. This could be things such as tree work, concrete, and masonry. I also specialize in creative drainage solutions and grading. Working for building contractors, homeowners, and landscapers, I can help with any part of a project. Some customers like me to just do the rock work and grading, then have their landscaper do the plants or plant themselves. Or, I can draw a landscape design and do a full installation.
